1ST WEEK READING ACTIVITIES


 

Exposure visit in a hybrid way (online / offline library due to COVID PANDEMIC) to the school library

·    Primary Library Books I to II

 

·     All children to visit to the primary/Main school library and explore age appropriate available books in a hybrid ways including access from G-Suite e-library. Students will get desired books through circulation service of primary library along with G-Suite library class room and will read these books preferably before parents at home and before teachers in school.

 

 

Week 1

Alphabet World

·     The students will be encouraged to make words.

·     Read aloud – Students will read books. No child is ever too old to be read to and reading to a child is the most powerful tool to teach our children the beauty of language, the lilt of grammar, and the meaning of the text. Beyond all this, when we read to children, we are modelling the love of story and language, compelling us to learn how to read.

·     अपनी भाषा में उत्तर देने में सक्षम बनाना. शुद्ध ध्वनि एवं मात्राओ के साथ बोलना

·     छात्रो को पठन करने में अभिभावक,शिक्षक एवं PEER मदद करेंगे |

Family stories (Class 1, 2)

·     Help the child weave stories about family members.

 

·    No      resources required

 

·     The child will write and then read to the classmates’ stories about what happened on special days, such as holidays, birthdays, and family vacations.

PRIMARY - 3-5

Week 1

Exposure visit to the school library and Circulation

·     All children to visit to the school library and explore books and get circulation, Reference service

 



UPPER PRIMARY - 6-8

Week 1

Exposure visits to the school library in a hybrid way if teaching learning online

·     All students will visit school library in a hybrid way and explore books.

·     Every child will get one age appropriate book issued to read and tell about the same in the fourth week.

·     While reading the book at home an adult of the family must be present to ensure correctness.

Story Time

·     The teacher initiates the story by giving students the opening sentence and setting the scene. Each student takes the story further by adding a sentence and speaks to whole class.
